| Term | Definition |

| `APIKey` | Key created on the Unico portal, mandatory for use in the interface between systems. Carries settings that will be applied in integrations. |
| `Branch` | Identification of the customer's branch or operation linked to the service account and all users who will have access to the system. Also referred to as **subsidiary** in API contexts; the corresponding payload field is `subsidiaryId`. |
| `Bundle` | A package containing the credentials for using the SDK. |
| `Capabilities` | Features that can be used on the IDCloud platform. |
| `CbU` | Name still used in some API reference pages (e.g. the `get-process` endpoint) for the **Web Journey**. |
| `Drop` | Occurs when a photo is rejected by the biometric engine due to low quality and/or an engine error. |
| `Encrypted (JWT)` | JWT file generated by the SDK, used in the integration. Expires after 10 minutes and can only be used once. |
| `Flow` | An attribute that carries settings and defines the end customer's journey in the biometrics process by Unico. |
| `Instance` | The URL assigned to your organization's Portal IDCloud, used to access Unico products. |
| `.pem file` | A file containing the private key, used in OAuth2 authentication. |
| `Portal IDCloud` | The Unico platform for accessing and managing products. Each organization accesses it through their own **Instance** (URL). |
| `ProcessID` | Identification generated after the creation of a process. Returned as `id` in API responses; referenced as `processId` in URL path parameters. |
| `RENAPO` | Registro Nacional de Población, Mexico's national population registry and the source of the data returned by RENAPO Verification. |
| `SDK` | A set of tools or packages provided by Unico to facilitate the capture of facial images and/or documents. |
| `Service Account` | An impersonal account that belongs to the application and not to an individual user, used in OAuth2 authentication. |
| `TenantID` | A unique identifier for your company at Unico. |
| `Web Journey` | The web-based identity verification flow, available through the iFrame, Redirect, or SDK integration models. Versioned (e.g. v1.0, v3.0) — which fields and settings are available depends on the version. Formerly referred to as "CbU". |
