What it does
The capability queries RENAPO, Mexico's national population registry, with the user's CURP and returns the registry record in an idGov block. The block is data, and it does not replace or change the Identity Verification result.

You also need a recipe with RENAPO Verification and prior enablement for the tenant, negotiated with the Unico Onboarding team.

Every string value below may be empty when RENAPO returns the field blank.

When RENAPO does not respond, idGov returns {}. Treat it as "not verified", not as government_valid: false.
government_valid and the identity result are separate answers. A valid CURP does not mean the person in the selfie owns it.

Even on the supported surfaces, the tenant needs to be enabled for RENAPO Verification. Contact Unico's Onboarding team if your operation does not yet have access.
Valid combinations
RENAPO Verification is returned only in recipes that also run Identity Verification. It is not sold on its own.
