Always keep your Android SDK updated with the latest version available. We use semantic versioning to number our versions.

6.13.0

Released: 10/15/2026

  • For security reasons, this version no longer includes the native document capture. The public API still exists for now, but calling it returns error 73905, "Unable to open document camera". It will be removed in an upcoming version. For more information, contact your CSM.
  • Internal product improvements. These improvements do not directly affect the end-user experience.

6.12.0

Released: 09/21/2026

  • Internal product improvements. These improvements do not directly affect the end-user experience.
warning
The kotlin and kotlinx keep rules were removed from the SDK consumer rules. See Android SDK ▸ Installation ▸ Specific setup ▸ Obfuscation rules.

6.11.0

Released: 09/14/2026

  • Reduced the SDK install size by approximately 7%.
  • Added support for Android API Level 36.
  • Improved the User Journeys experience with a more seamless and immersive presentation.
  • Internal product improvements. These improvements do not directly affect the end-user experience.
warning
The passkey integration was removed. The SDK no longer provides androidx.credentials, androidx.datastore, androidx.webkit, com.google.android.libraries.identity.googleid or androidx.credentials:credentials-play-services-auth as transitive dependencies. Apps that rely on any of them without declaring them explicitly must now add them to their own build configuration.

6.10.1

Released: 09/08/2026

  • Fixed an ANR (Application Not Responding) that could occur when the host app process started in the background — for example, when woken by a push notification — without any user interaction.
  • Fixed crashes that could occur when returning to the SDK after Android terminated and recreated the host app process, such as after switching to an external browser tab or under memory pressure with the camera open.
warning
A future release will target Android API Level 36 as required by Google Play policies.

6.10.0

Released: 08/18/2026

  • Enhanced RASP protection with improved threat detection and immediate process termination in the capture flow.
  • Internal product improvements. These improvements do not directly affect the end-user experience.
warning
On compromised devices, the app may now terminate when the capture flow starts. This is an intentional security behavior change.
warning
A future release will target Android API Level 36 as required by Google Play policies.

6.9.1

Released: 08/04/2026

  • Fixed crash on camera opening on devices running Android 11 or earlier (API ≤ 30).
warning
A future release will target Android API Level 36 as required by Google Play policies.
